The XWL-420 is in the same family as the XWL-450 Micro Access Point/Repeater/Station Adapter and the XWL-431 PCMCIA adapter and is based on the original 802.11 specification for compliance at 1 & 2Mbps data rates.
Our first PCMCIA IEEE 802.11 based on Harris, Intersil, Conexant pprism chipset design. The XWL-431 combined price and performance and solidified itself as one of the cornerstones of every IEEE 802.11 network. Although it subsequently was replaced with our newer chipsets and devices the XWL-431 still has a life with existing deployments. We are closing out all available stock and once the available units are gone it will be difficult to find. Take advantage of this last release of this product for use as a spare or backup unit, once gone we cannot provide anymore.
